Shaken by Tarsi's revelations, Captain Agnes Rodriguez discovers that NASA's lunar missions were faked and that the space race concealed a secret NATO military program. Her faith in the hierarchy collapses after a violent confrontation with Admiral Michaux. Consumed by anger and doubt, she realizes that between human lies and temporal manipulations, she no longer knows who, or what, to believe.

TL;DR
Overwhelmed by rage, Agnes summons Tarsi to the Enterprise gym and demands a fight. But the Andorian refuses: she dodges, absorbs, and answers calmly, rejecting the logic of violence. The captain keeps pushing, searching for truth in the blows she throws, while Tarsi opposes her with the discipline of a pacifist warrior. On the edge of exhaustion, Agnes finally lowers her guard, and Tarsi drops the revelation that will change everything: she does not come from the 26th century... but from the 23rd.
Story
After the confrontation with Admiral Michaux, I return aboard the Enterprise, still inhabited by a burning anger. It has not dissipated. It has thickened.
I cross the ship with furious steps until I reach the gym. I need to release it. To hit something. To feel something other than this compact knot crushing my chest.
And for that, I know exactly who to pour it onto.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Everyone leave this room immediately!
And bring me the Andorian. Now!
Lt. Maestria
Um... aye, Captain.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Everyone out!
Move faster than that!
The room empties in a tense silence. Once alone, I remove my uniform and put on shorts, a sports bra, and sneakers left in my locker. I grab a container of chalk and rub it over my hands, my forearms, my neck.
I breathe hard.
Too hard.
I open another locker. Inside, a row of combat gloves. I grab one pair, then a second.
When Tarsi enters, escorted by a security agent, I am already ready.
Lt. Maestria
Here is the alien, Captain.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Leave us.
And watch the entrance. No one interrupts me.
Lt. Maestria
Aye, Captain.
The door closes behind him.
Tarsi observes the room, then looks at me. She immediately understands that something is wrong.
Cmdr. Tarsi
What is happening, Captain?
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Put on this pair of gloves!
Cmdr. Tarsi
Um... what?
No.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Do not make me repeat myself.
Cmdr. Tarsi
I am sorry, Captain.
That is out of the question.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
You are going to put on those gloves.
Cmdr. Tarsi
No.
I will not fight you.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
We will see about that!
I pick up the gloves and throw them at her again, harder this time, ordering her to put them on.
Tarsi does not move. She stands her ground, her gaze steady, still refusing to fight.
My patience snaps.
I launch myself at her without waiting.
My blows come fast, too fast. Loaded with anger, frustration, everything I can no longer contain. But Tarsi dodges with disconcerting ease. She pivots, ducks, steps back just enough. No wasted movement. A precise, almost elegant mastery of defensive techniques completely foreign to me.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Stop dodging and fight!
Cmdr. Tarsi
You are wasting your time, Captain.
I am a pacifist.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Is that what they teach you in Starfleet?
Letting others fight in your place?!
Cmdr. Tarsi
Violence solves nothing.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Oh, really?
You and your whole 26th-century crowd do so much better with your pacifist methods of eradication...
Cmdr. Tarsi
That is completely absurd.
And you know it very well.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
Of course!
You do not care about disturbing the continuum without worrying about the consequences.
Cmdr. Tarsi
Starfleet, and the Temporal Division, are not perfect.
But they are not responsible for creating your reality.
Their role is to protect the continuum against those who manipulate it for purposes of domination.
Capt. Agnes V. Rodriguez
A time police saving the galaxy from the bad guys...
Forgive me, but I do not believe that for a second.
Cmdr. Tarsi
And yet, you should.
Without the actions of the Temporal Division, I myself would no longer be alive.
I stop dead.
My arms instinctively fall along my body.
I stare at her, stunned, unable to hide how unsettled I am.
A heavy silence settles between us.
Then, calmly, Tarsi bends down, picks up the gloves, and finally puts them on. Not to attack. Not to defend herself. But to establish a frame.
Cmdr. Tarsi
I am not originally from the 26th century.
I was born in the 23rd.
